Farmhouse china cabinet makeover

**SOLD**

This was your typical brown wood looking china cabinet.  I removed all of the glass and replaced it with chicken wire that I painted black.  I painted the outside with a mix of ASCP in paris gray and old white and graphite and paris gray on the inside, waxed, and distressed. I kept the all of the old hardware and painted it black except the pull on the drawer.  I like it much better now!

Adirondack Chair

My handy husband built this out of our old deck wood!  I have wanted  adirondack chairs for a long time, but didn't want to pay so much for them.  My handy man found some plans online and started building.  One down 3 more to go.  :)

Second time's a charm?

**SOLD**

A few days ago I posted a french nightstand / end table I had refurbished.  I had second thoughts and re-painted with a mix of ascp paris gray and graphite and old white on the hardware.  I think it looks much better now.

Farmhouse dresser / buffet

I found this dresser on CL last year.  It wasn't pretty, but it was the size I was looking for.  It had water damage on the top and down the back from an aquarium.  I sanded the entire dresser and replaced the back.  I primed, painted, and replaced the hardware.  I am now using it in my kitchen.

Craigslist dresser

I found this dresser on Craigslist and it just happened to be in a neighborhood across the street from mine!  I used ASCP in graphite for the top and old white on the bottom.  The glass pulls I used on the middle drawers don't show up much but I like the look it gives with the rope pulls.  Here is the before pic. and more afters.

I know I probably put to many photos on the wall and should have kept them just over the dresser, but I didn't figure that out until it was all done and I really don't want to re-do it all!

Goodwill dresser

This is a dresser I found at Goodwill.  I liked the size of it, but not the color.  I started by sanding down the drawers, then it sat like that for the next year.  I submitted a photo to Shauna at www.perfectlyimperfectblog.com and loved the last dresser she posted, but I could never get the look.  I bought the book Quick and Easy Paint Transformations by Annie Sloan for inspiration.  She had a dresser that I liked so I tried my best to copy it and I love the way it turned out!  This is the first piece of furniture that I used chalk paint on and I may never use anything else.  This is also my first blog post, so let me warn you I'm no professional when it comes to blogging or photography.  :)
